Job interview, A Feast For Crows, The Cortex, and Supanova.

I've been pretty busy over the past couple of weeks. Conducting interviews, applying to jobs, wondering where my pay is from my existing job. You know, the usual stuff. I have been a little annoyed with Search Factory because they haven't been paying me right, so I've decided to focus on other things...like studying for my exams, and finding other employment. I have a job interview tomorrow for a Christmas casual at Sunglasses Hut. I know it's only a casual contract, but having the extra money over the holidays would be really great. Also, Isobelle's first birthday is coming up next month, and I'd love to throw a party for her. So fingers crossed! I've applied to so many jobs over the past year and the only work I've received is through Search Factory. It's so annoying! In the meantime, I've been working on some articles for uni, and I have really enjoyed conducting the interviews. I'd love to do another similar subject next year, but I don't think I can. I need to focus on working towards my major. However, I will still be writing more articles in my spare time!

  I've just started reading 'A Feast For Crows', the fourth novel in 'A Song Of Ice And Fire' by George R.R. Martin.
This novel has received the more negative reviews out of all of his books, however I am finding it interesting to learn about the other places in his world. I guess this novel introduces a whole lot of extra characters, since a lot of them were killed in the previous novel, and most people want to find out what's happening certain people and these new characters just get in the way, but I like knowing where Myrcella and Tommen were sent. I like learning about new places like Sunspear, and new people like Prince Dorran, because you can't just kill off a whole family without adding new characters. It was nice to have a chance of pace with the books, plus the extra information. I've read that many people don't think the book has much plot development, but there are some interesting revelations that will obviously play a big role in the ending of the series (such as the rise of religion and the new king of the Iron Islands). And even though I haven't finished reading this book, I know that if these things don't happen then the series will never end (which is what I'm sure everyone things GRRM wants haha). It's a transitional book more than anything else, that sets up the rest of the series. So I think people just need to calm down and realise that small things lead to big things.

'Closet Land' the stage play is opening next month, and I'm so excited to see it in Adelaide at The Bakehouse Theatre. I've mentioned it before on here, but I'm getting more and more excited as the date grows closer. I'm also more worried about exams, since they are happening around that time as well. I just want to get this semester over and done with. It hasn't be too stressful, but I just want to hurry up and start my third year. I guess I'm just anxious to finish uni altogether.

I did have an article published,which you can view on The Cortex. I have already had it published before on Student View, but it's great to see that the story is still relevant and people want to read it! I am trying to get my article about Wolston Park published, so hopefully in the not too distant future I will put a link here when I do get it published!

Supanova is getting closer, also!! I'm thinking that instead of a cenobite I'll go as Lydia Deetz from Beetlejuice, or Beetlejuice himself (the female version!). There are just so many different options. Bloody inspirations!

Anyway, I'm off to read about Dorne.
